it's about being childwise
be childwise is a counselling practice that aims to help children, teens and families uncover and harness their strengths and capabilities to seek new solutions, improve their relationships and lead more harmonious and content lives.
Families today are facing complex and diverse issues, and experience many changes. Change brings an opportunity to grow and learn; however adjusting to change is difficult and sometimes children experience problems that can be challenging and cause disruption to their lives and to the lives of those around them.
Every child is unique and deals with emotions and problems in their lives differently. Some children have difficulty communicating these problems and can often feel “bottled-up” inside. be childwise focuses on teaching children and teens to openly express their thoughts and feelings, and to learn new behaviours and strategies to gain mastery and wisdom.
Being a “childwise” parent means you are attuned to your child’s emotional, mental, spiritual and physical wellbeing. A “childwise” child is one who has been given the gift of therapeutic counselling to positively work through their emotions, learn new behaviours and feels empowered, confident and happy.
